Sony PlayStation 5 Pro starts rolling out globally – Yurika.R

Sony has announced the global rollout of its PlayStation 5 Pro, calling it their “most advanced and innovative console hardware to date,” following its initial reveal in September.

Featuring upgraded performance and cutting-edge technology, this next-gen console delivers an enhanced gaming experience with new features, higher frame rates, and support for both 4K and 8K resolutions.

• PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR): Leveraging AI-enhanced technology, PSSR provides ultra-clear 4K resolution, delivering detailed and sharp visuals on compatible TVs.
• Enhanced Performance: Supports smooth frame rates at 60Hz and 120Hz, ensuring more stable and responsive gameplay.
• Advanced Ray Tracing: Experience lifelike reflections, shadows, and enhanced lighting across immersive game worlds with high-quality ray tracing.
• PS5 Pro Game Enhancements: Over 50 games are optimized for the PS5 Pro, offering 4K output, up to 120fps, and ray tracing for a visually immersive experience.

Storage and Connectivity

The PS5 Pro boasts 2TB of internal SSD storage, offering ample space and faster load times. With Wi-Fi 7 support, it reduces latency and enhances online stability.

Game Boost ensures improved frame rates in select PS4 and PS5 titles. The console’s ultra-high-speed SSD and integrated I/O minimize load times and enable new gaming experiences. Backward compatibility supports over 8,500 PS4 games.

Data Transfer Options

Transferring data from PS4 or PS5 is simple. Both consoles must be connected to the same network, and users should sign in on their PlayStation Network accounts. Once logged in, data such as user information, downloaded games, save files, and settings can be transferred.

Syncing Accessories

Users can pair DualSense controllers, the Pulse Elite Headset, and other accessories with the PS5 Pro. To sync Pulse Explore earbuds, insert the USB adapter, dock both earbuds, and remove them to complete the sync process.

• Set Up with PS5 Disc Drive: If purchased, the PS5 Disc Drive can be installed on the PS5 Pro, providing access to physical game media.
• PlayStation App Integration: The PlayStation App allows users to remotely manage console storage, initiate downloads, and prepare games for quick access.
• Bundled Game: Each PS5 Pro comes with “Astro’s Playroom” pre-installed, which showcases the immersive features of the DualSense controller.

The PS5 Pro is now available for purchase through PlayStation and selected retailers worldwide.

• PlayStation 5 Pro Console – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle: USD 999.99 (Rs. 84,315 approx.) (Limited to 12,300 units, individually numbered, featuring a special design inspired by the original PlayStation released in 1994).

We still don’t have the India launch date or the pricing yet. However, the company said that it will launch the PlayStation 5 30th Anniversary Edition in India on November 21st for Rs. 49,999.
