I have proven to myself that it is easy to make money on the internet.
I find most people want to make money now, right now and they don't want to build something to make more money without all the daily routine of PTC sites.
I tried the PTC sites a few years ago and got more depressed than anything. The amount of effort I put in didn't match the money I was making. After a few months of that I had had enough.
Then I decided to create a blog around one of my interests. I didn't know anything much about the niche or market I entered but I knew I could get free articles for it so I started the site without any of my own content.
I put free articles on the blog and after about 3 months. After my new blog was indexed in the major search engines I signed up at a site for text link ads and started to earn a little each month.
In just a few months I was up to over $100 U.S. a month from just that one blog that didn't even have my own content on it.
I still add content to that site, free content, and I am still earning from previous posts.
Once I saw that work I started doing the same thing in other niches. Some of them worked and some didn't but I didn't give up and I didn't put any more time into them than I was putting in to make pennies on PTC sites.

Good day Pamalyons From what I have been doing it doesn't really matter what you are selling as long as you stay within the niche you are working. So if I have a digital Photography web site I would promote all things to do with digital photography. I think where people go wrong is having a blog that doesn't stay within the niche they started with and their blog loses focus for the readers. Then it becomes tough to know what to sell. On the other hand if I stay in my niche, digital photography, then I can sell digital photography products without turning off my readers because they are there to read and learn about digital photography. So what I am saying is, with more than 30 blogs it's hard to tell anyone what I promote as I promote a lot of different things based on the niche of each blog. :) [WebMann]

I'm growing slowly, in my online earnings. I'm taking a slow and more cautious approach. After hurrying around and trying every get rich site I saw I learned the hard way and lost some money on these sites! Then I met a good mentor who taught me to slow down. I created a system I call "Back to the Basics" and made a free web page on this system! I put links to mylot and trekpay there and some site where I have invested my earnings in to and they in turn make this cash grow! This site has proven out for me to get active referrals that increase the earnings even faster! I use safelists to promote my page. I used to use traffic exchanges but they weren't that effective, so I use the safelists and send out 30,000 to 50,000 ads a day! I do have a couple of places I pay for private label rights article. I pay for them because they are provided to no more than 200 people. Usually I use these articles as is. The free PLR articles I get need to be modified a little because they could be used by thousands because they are free. [WebMann]

Right now I have just over 30 blogs but 6 of them are about credit and debt which aren't doing anything so when they come up for renewal I will not renew those domains. So you can see I don't always hit it right when choosing a niche. I found that sticking with something I know about helps me earn faster. People tend to want to get rich online instead of just making a living. My goal is not to make millions or even thousands a month. I don't need money like that. I just want to make a living so my goal is to make a couple of thousand a month and that's not that hard. It does take work but when you get one web site earning a little you can always get it to earn a little more. A 1 or 2 percent increase on your site each month adds up at the end of the year. Don't think about the big money, just think about making a profit each month and then do just a little better this month and next month and so on. It works for me. [WebMann]
Well, very interesting topic. I'm also considering making money online without spend much, so I tried the PTC sites. I'm not good at inviting people to join, so I rent referrals from the site, though you must spend a little at first, but you can quickly and easily get more than what you've spend, the only problem is to find the best and most trusted program on the internet that you can invest safely. I think if it goes well, I may be able to get as much as hundreds of dollars per month [hypum356]
I usually have poor luck at getting others to join things and then when I do they don't do much, so I don't bother. If people want to join something under me, great but I never ask. I try to focus on something I like as it makes the job of earning easier. I like Fishing and talk about fishing and what I use. If I get my readers as excited as I get when I am fishing they will likely come back often and even buy the same things I use to fish. I do the same thing with all my interests. Getting your blog indexed in pretty easy. Write a couple of short articles that compliment the content on the page you want indexed. Use similar keywords to the ones you have on the page you want indexed. That's most important. Once you have a good article written, no less than 300 words, publish it on EzineARticles.com They get indexed many times a day. When the search engines see your article they will follow the link in your article to your web site page. They may not index it immediately so you need to write more than one article. Don't publish your articles together. Wait until your first article is accepted before you publish the next one. If you decide to publish your articles on other article directories be sure to publish on EzineARticles first and then change a few things in your article to make it unique for the other directories. Wow, you're lucky. I started with PTC sites also then tried participating in online surveys. However, I didn't earn that much in both ways as ptcs only pays normally 1 cent per click and I'm not a US resident so I'm always not qualified to participate in online surveys. When I joined mylot last month, my earnings increased a little bit for those writing tasks. I could make 2-3 articles per day if I don't feel lazy to write. I don't like PTC and I avoid Survey sites. They have wasted way too much of my time over they years. Writing articles is about the best way I know to get attention to your content. Use article directories to your advantage. The key with article directories is to keep your article focused using the same keywords as the page you point your articles to. [WebMann]

I found PTC and Survey sites drained my energy and I never got anything in return. Just a big waste of my time. The best place to start is at the beginning. :) For me I started with Web Design and soon found I was jealous of the money the sites I created was making for my clients, so started creating for myself. That's when I started blogging and started dropping some of my web design clients so I would have more time for my own sites. An easy formula for me is: My Interests + Wordpress Blog + Fresh Keyworded Content = Traffic Now if you add some advertising after you gain about 100 or so unique visitors a month and you can start earning. You do need to find something your readers want or desire. For me my fishing sites work because when I catch fish and get excited I get my readers excited and then they want the same lures or fishing gear as I have and I make money. Yeah I find things always seem to be easier once you know how. Adsense is a good way to earn money but I have gone the affiliate route instead. I find the places I would put Adsense in a post are the same places I prefer to put a picture or an affiliate link with an image. Well a couple years ago a guy was supposed to be helping me learn how to make money online and he had me start my own website and then use wordpress to make a blog and then told me to just keep adding to the blog all the time ...but from there he wanted $2000 to teach me anymore...it was some mlm program...it was basically a scam pyramid thing where you give him $2000 and then you have the priveledge of talking other people into giving you $2000 and after you get about 10 people to do that you get to start keeping the money...see where im going?? lol and i wasnt about to give him $2000 so thats as far as i got... but i think as far as the blogs you are saying basically the same kind of thing right? only not a scheme but just something you know a lot about.... To get attention from search engines write an article that compliments a page on your blog and publish it on EzineArticles.com. Make sure you stay focused on the content of that particular page. When a search engine visits your article on EA they will follow your link to that page and if you are relevant to your content you will get that page indexed and you will have a link back to that page to help build your PageRank with Google. It's really easy to be clicking for pennies and not realize how much you are making an hour. It's scary and it's what stopped me from going to sites like that. If you were to take that time you spend on PTC sites and start getting free Private Label Rights articles that you can modify to make unique you could start making money with Adsense or other types of affiliate marketing. Pick a niche you know about, not the money making niche though, and start building content that is focused on one specific interest. I started a travel blog and only used free articles. No, making money online is not so easy as some people have said. I have some experiences of making money online. In fact, nowadays, I am trying to it to make some extra money. When I heard about something about making money online for the first time, I joined some PTC websites to view the ads everyday. You know, it was difficult to make much time at once although you can do the tasks everyday. After two months, I gave up for there were so many scams in the PTC area. Now, in order to make much money, I have been running 3 blogs and earn money by writing paid reviews for advertisers. You see, making money online is difficult, expecially for some newbies. Yeah making money online can be tough but most things are until you learn them. There were times I felt like I was pounding my head against a wall. That's when I stopped doing the PTC thing and start creating blogs around my hobbies and interests. I had lots of people tell me I could NOT make money with my hobbies but I do because I know my hobbies but more than that I know people spend money on the same hobbies I have. An important note on article directories: If you use articles from article directories you need to make sure you keep the author's resource or bio box so they get credit for the article. You can not change an article from an article directory but if it's private label rights articles you can do what you want with them, which means you can change them a little here and there, maybe add a sentence or two of your own words and BAM they become unique. The thing I like about earning from my blogs is that I don't have to go in and spend a lot of time clicking ads. Instead I can write an article and keep earning from it over and over. :) You are right about referrals. There are some advertising network that is very strict in terms of accepting our blog in their network. This is due to some violation in our content...But never experience of denying from advertising networks. You know I appreciate how you can do with your blog to earn such amount. It requires diligence and regular effort, preferably with something one enjoys and does well. The most money I make online is through professional writing. I have earned as much as $48 for one well-written 600 word article time after time. And I love my blogs, which also take diligence and quality writing/content to succeed. I DO write my own content, and occasionally have a guest poster, and since I have several, it keeps me busy busy! But I love writing, so it is a good busy. The thing about publishing articles on article directories is that they need to be linked back to an internal page on your site, not the main page. They also need to use the same keyword phrase you used on the page you are going to link to. Write an article to publish on EA but create one for every page on your site. So if you have 30 pages, you write 30 articles, each one linked to a similar page on your site. That will give you 30 backlinks to your site, which Google may look at and give you a better pagerank. Then your traffic will start to grow, but the traffic will be really targeted to the right target group. Keep up the great job [WebMann]

If you were making money from your local newspaper you might want to keep writing but do it online for sites like Helium and other sites that pay for content. When you do start a blog be sure that for every article your write for your blog write one for EzineArticles and other article directories that point back to the page you wrote the article on your site. Doing this will get you more traffic and if you match the keywords from the page you are linking to it will also help to get you backlinks and increase your site's pagerank. [WebMann]
After reading all your responses, I would like to commend you for giving out such straightforward and honest information especially about starting and monetizing a blog. I like to write, but when I try to start a new blog, I often freeze about what I'm going to write. By using guest articles you have shown that you can make a blog successful without actually writing it yourself. A combination of the two can be done as well. That way you can keep up with 30 blogs. Good for you. I dabble in some click sites, a little writing and reviewing and a few survey sites. I don't make a lot of money, but I would like to really get systematic about it like you have and channel my efforts into one area instead of bouncing around from one thing to another. I do have a website that lists the sites I use to make money and I don't think I would eliminate that. You know I lost my Adsense account a few years ago because of some enthusiastic traffic exchanges that promoted clicking on ads. I was way too naive and should have known better, but I guess we do learn by our mistakes. There are alternatives to Adsense to make money. I'm also learning a little about the social sites like Twitter and Facebook and how they can help in my business adventures and the advantages of links and linking your sites together. I remember when I first started with eBay. I went through all the boxes we never unpacked from our previous move and sold all the stuff we no longer used or wanted. It was great fun. I was a bit nervous about it at the start but that soon faded when money started showing up. I don't do much with eBay now, mostly just buy things. Hi, I see you use copyrigthed material on your blog. I think that is unhumane for the writer, but is to your discretion on copying peopel`s articles. Anyways, I make money designer abnenrs, investing, paid to clicking etc. I have a blog also,it is a blog about making money online but I write articles in my own words. [bluesinjid]
I like to write article for the blogs I have knowledge about but for my other blogs I need help and private label rights article work great. They only need a little tweaking to make them unique. But the stuff I use from others is not copyrighted, it's private label rights which gives me the okay to modify and change. If I were to use articles from article directories then I would not be able to modify them plus I would have to leave their bio box in tact. I don't mind using articles from article directories if they fit into my site. I just don't do that very often. I thought of starting a forum a few times but I think it would be a lot of work and I am stretched about as far as I can stretch. I belong to a couple of forums right now that don't get much traffic and I am sure the owners get stressed over it. I don't need any more stress in my life. :) I am going to drop some of my blogs. The ones that haven't worked out for me and that should free up a bit of time but then I would just use the extra time to make the rest of my sites produce more. If I were starting all over I would stick with just a couple of sites and work them a lot harder than I do now. [WebMann]

I get what your saying but I really have no idea want to blog about, if I could blog about everyday life that would be fine, but mine is boring..lol The only good money I have made is from Poetry contests. I can't set up my own sites or really blog about anything. I did sign up for that Hub page site, but cant come up with any ideas. [solared]
I get times when I draw a blank for ideas but that is when I either sit down infront of the tube with a pen and paper and just start watching programs I like. Any ideas that pop into my head I have to write down immediately or they pop out of my head just as fast. I also take long walks through town and take pictures of things that interest me. Later I just use the images and write down what I was thinking about when I took the picture. I also go through magazines and books to see what jumps out at me. The worst thing to do, in my opinion, is to sit in front of the computer waiting for an idea to arrive. [WebMann]
i dont hik making monye online is very easy task... makig money from any souce is not easy and everything involves its own difficultis and efforts required and also making money online involves more scams and frauds than most of the other methods of making money .. for example if we take the case of ptc sites we can find that most sites that we come acroos i would say 95+ out of 100 ptc sites available today will turn out tot be big time scams [SQD444]
