One of the problems about being self employed is that there's rarely time off. I *did* take a couple of days for a mini-vacation recently but for the most part I just work when work needs to be done. Often that's all 7 days but I like the work so it's not a stress or anything. happy [katiedoubleu]

I usually work Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, as long as I have some appointments each day. Sometimes, I have no appointments on Monday. On Wednesdays, I spend time with my mother. I work 7 days a week being a full time mum but, as for paid work, I have a job which takes up a few hours over one or two days per week. I am also a writer so that can take up varying amounts of time depending on what I am writing. Some weeks I write every day, other weeks, I might not write at all. It is good that I can choose my own hours but I am currently under pressure to write 4 separate articles in the next 6 days and I have "writer's block". On an average I work only 4 days per week. I only work part-time and always have Sundays off. My average is 25 hours per week. Some weeks I am only scheduled 3 days which is nice because that gives me 4 days off total for the week. Hi sophialin, I work four days a week for my part time work, so I still could enjoy my three free days per week. I have my part time work in two different offices. One is on Tuesday and Thursday whereas the other is on Wednesday and Friday. The office of the first job is rather far away from my house so I need to take a twenty five minute drive to reach there. The office of the other is quite near to my place and I could reach there only spending a four minutes drive. While I am not technically employed, I do make a pretty good amount of money on line. I "work" where and when I can get internet access. well technicially, my govenment has implemented the 5 day work week, however it is not really practiced because of efficiency.Rather its 5 and a hald to 6 days of work a week.Sure, they would state it as 5 days compulsory however, if you work exactly five days and do not put in extra effort, you will be on top of the black list for firing should the company do badly, you will also be at the bottom of the list for promotions.
